Adele Grigolo

February 20, 2022

Adele Grigolo, 96, passed away peacefully in the comfort of her own home and entered into eternal rest on Sunday, February 20, 2022. Born and raised in West New York, New Jersey, Adele moved to Fort Lee after she married, and where she was a lifelong resident. Adele was the beloved wife of the late Albert C. Grigolo, the loving mother of Carl Grigolo & his wife Irina, Loralyn Cuppi & her husband John, and Albert A. Grigolo & his wife Teresa. Cherished grandmother of Artem Polyakhov & his wife Bogdana, John and Michael Cuppi, and AJ and Sophia Grigolo. Endeared great-grandmother of Lea, Amelia, and Mark who gave Adele great joy. Adele is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Adele is preceded in death by her parents Alexander and Maria, brothers Harry and Richard, and sisters Ruth Bertinato, and Dolores Bruzzo. Throughout her entire life, Adele was selfless, always reaching out to help family, friends, and neighbors. Adele gave all of her love to so many. Never complaining, adversity and disappointment was never a problem for Adele. Adele always found a way forward. Adele believed in surmounting challenges, never succumbing to them. Always actively engaged in life, and very full of life. In her earlier years, Adele was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary, Fort Lee Fire Department, (FLFD), Co. #1, all in support of her beloved husband Al, FLFD Co. #1, FLFD, and the community. While raising a family, Adele owned and operated laundromats and a dry cleaning business. Later in life, continuing to help people, Adele worked in the Human Resources Department at Prentice Hall/Simon & Schuster/Pearson Education until she retired. After retiring, Adele was an active member of the Fort Lee Senior Citizens Club and the Fort Lee Chapter of AARP. There she enjoyed the company of, and engaged with many friends. Adele loved the numerous activities that they all participated in together and the many trips that they went on. While Adele will be dearly missed, Family and friends can take solace and comfort in knowing that Adele is once again reunited with her beloved husband Al. Family and friends are invited to gather for visitation 8:30-10AM Thursday at the Hunt-Stellato Funeral Home, 1601 Palisade Avenue, Fort Lee. Funeral Mass to be celebrated at Madonna R.C. Church on Main Street in Fort Lee at 10:30AM on Thursday. Burial will follow at Madonna Cemetery in Fort Lee.
