Anita Alfano

Anita L. Alfano (nee Goetschius), 96, of East Rutherford, New Jersey, passed away at Oakland Care Center on Friday, March 30, 2018. Anita was born in Newark, NJ and lived in Lyndhurst and East Rutherford for most of her life. Loving mother of the late Thomas Alfano, Linda & her husband Joseph Laquaglia, and Leonard & his wife Antonia Edwards. Adored grandmother of Vanessa Edwards, Matthew & the late Arlene Alfano, and Carlo & Patricia Alfano. Cherished great-grandmother of Kimberly (Mat), James, Alexander and Gabriella. Adored great-greatgrandmother of Alexander and Arianna. Dear sister of Shirley Edwards and the late Clarence, Irene, Melville, Hazel, Norman, and Harold. Endeared aunt of Jennifer Santander & her husband John Paul and Diane Gingerelli. She was a member of both the Christ United Methodist Church in East Rutherford and the East Rutherford Senior Citizens Center for many years. Friends will be received Thursday 7-9PM at the Ippolito-Stellato Funeral Home, 425 Ridge Road, Lyndhurst. Funeral service Thursday 8:30PM. Cremation private.
