Anthony Sardo, Jr., 81, of Fairfield, New Jersey, passed away on Wednesday, December 27, 2017. Beloved husband of Anna Sardo. Loving father of Denise Mantegazza & her husband John, the late Sharon LaGrera & her husband Sal, Jennifer Tortorello & her husband Gene, Maria Perna Iadonisi and Donna Perna. Dear brother of Lucy Terrone & her husband Dominic and the late Sebastian Sardo. Cherished grandfather of Mackenzie, Provinces, Jarrett & husband Paul, Daniel, Michelle, Tomasino, Anthony, Nicholas & wife Jacques, Ronnie, Raymond, Michael & Annmarie, and 5 great-grandchildren. Mr. Sardo was born in Montclair and lived for over 40 years in Fairfield. He married the love of his life, Anna Cascio Perna, in 1971. Anthony worked as a Correction Officer for 35 years at the Essex County Jail and was with the National Guard. He had his own sewer business, Fairfield Sewer Service. He was loved by all! Funeral Friday, January 5th, at 9AM from the Ippolito-Stellato Funeral Home, 7 Two Bridges Road, Fairfield. Funeral Mass 10AM St. Thomas More R.C. Church. Interment Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Friends will be received Thursday, January 4th, 4-8PM.
