Gerald Edwin Machere, 75, of Lyndhurst, New Jersey, passed away on Saturday, July 14, 2018. Beloved husband of Jo-Ann Machere (nee Blair). Loving father of Michael Machere & his wife Michele and Kenneth Machere. Adored grandfather of Katie, Lauren, and Sarah. Endeared brother of Paul Machere. Dear cousin of Phil Keating & his wife Jennie. He is predeceased by his parents Michael & Anna Machere and his brother Barry. Gerald was an Army Veteran serving during the Vietnam War. He was a diesel mechanic for Kinder Morgan, Port Newark and a member of IUOE Local 15 Operating Engineers. He was a soaring enthusiast who spent his time at the Valley Soaring Club, located at Randall Airport in Middletown NY. Cremation private.
