DeTommaso, Joseph , 78, of Fairfield, NJ on Sunday, April 12, 2009. Loving brother of Fr. Louis DeTommaso O.F.M. and Catherine Branch. Predeceased by brothers Dominic, Peter, and Fred DeTommaso, and sisters Anna Bahret, and Lucille Duffy. Also Survived by many Nieces & Nephews. Mr. DeTommaso was born and raised in Jersey City and lived there until moving to Fairfield 35 years ago. He earned a BA from Rutgers University in Newark in 1952 and was a chemist for Lever Brothers for 25 years before retiring many years ago. On 11/22/82 he was awarded by Pope John Paul II the Pro Ecclesia et Pontifice Citation. Funeral Thursday at 9AM from the Ippolito-Stellato Funeral Home, 7 Two Bridges Road, Fairfield, NJ. Funeral Mass 10am St. Thomas More R.C. Church. Interment Holy Name Cemetery, Jersey City.
