Josephine Consiglio (nee Lando), of Manchester, NJ passed away on Tuesday, March 3, 2009 at Community Medical Center, Toms River, NJ. She was 89 years old. Josephine was born in New York City but lived most of her life in New Jersey. The family settled in Jersey City when she was a child and where she married the late Frank Consiglio who passed away in 1964. She retired from the Western Electric Company (now Alcatel Lucent) several years ago and resided in Wayne and later North Arlington, NJ before moving to Manchester in 1991. Loved by everyone who knew her, Josephine is survived by her son, Paul Consiglio & his Wife Christine of Waretown, NJ; her daughter, Nancy Kavanagh & her Husband Ron of Montville, NJ; grandson, Ronald Kavanagh Esq. of Montville, NJ; granddaughters Joann Olensky & her Husband James of Montville, NJ, Nancy Brun & her Husband Jason of Denville, NJ, and Charissa Consiglio of Waretwon, NJ; great-granddaughters Caitlin & Jaime Grace Olensky; great-grandson Jonah Brun and several nieces & nephews. Josephine was predeceased by 3 sisters and 3 brothers. Visitation will be held at the Ippolito-Stellato Funeral Home, 7 Two Bridges Rd., Fairfield (visit www.stellatofuneralhomes.com) on Friday, March 6, 2009 from 2-4 and 7-9PM and a Mass of Christian burial will be offered at St. Pius X Church, 24 Changebridge Road, Montville (visit www.st-pius-x.org) on Saturday, March 7 at 10AM, followed by interment at Holy Name Cemetery, West Side Avenue, Jersey City. In lieu of flowers the family prefers donations to St. Jude Tribute Program, PO Box 1000, Dept 142, Memphis, TN 38148-0142.
