Lawrence J Long

Long, Lawrence, J. of Fairfield, NJ on March 9, 2006. Beloved husband of Nicoletta P. (nee Paolello). Loving father of Michael, Mary McGovern, Carol Cavanagh, Louis, Matthew, and Christopher Long. Cherished grandfather of thirteen grandchildren. Mr. Long was born in Newark lived in Bloomfield and Newark before moving to Fairfield in 1969. Mr. Long was a Self-employed Accountant and retired in 1990. He was a U.S. Army Veteran, WWII, European Theatre of Operations. Mr. Long was also a special agent for the IRS, and was an accomplished jazz pianist. He was past President of Local 16, Musicians Union and former choir director of St. Francis Xavier RC Church, Newark. Funeral Monday 9 AM from the Ippolito-Stellato Funeral Home, 7 Two Bridges Road, Fairfield. Funeral Mass 10AM at Our Lady of the Holy Angels R.C. Church, Little Falls. Entombment: Gate of Heaven Chapel Mausoleum, East Hanover. Friends will be received Saturday 7-9 and Sunday 2-4 and 7-9 PM. Those who wish may make donations to the American Heart Association.
