Amato, Sergio, 78, of Lyndhurst, New Jersey, passed away on Tuesday, July 5, 2022. Beloved husband of Sabina (nee Spadavecchia) Amato. Loving father of Natale Amato. Dear brother of Rosa Binetti & her husband Luca, Marianna Amato and Vitangelo Amato, sister-in-law Rosa Picerno. Cherished uncle of Mauro Binetti & his wife Anna, Natale Binetti, Damiana Cirillo & her husband Anthony, Josephine Carrera & her husband Anton, Pasquale Picerno & his wife Wendy Ortiz. Great uncle of Mario Luca, Rosanna Binetti, and Sebastian Ortiz. Also survived by extended family from Italy, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, and great nephews. Mr. Amato was a Coach Cleaner for Metro North in New York. He was a member of the Juventus Soccer Club in Hoboken. Funeral Friday 9AM from the Ippolito-Stellato Funeral Home, 425 Ridge Road, Lyndhurst. Funeral Mass 10AM St. Michael's R.C. Church. Entombment Holy Cross Chapel Mausoleum. Friends will be received Thursday 4-8PM.
