Adolfo Troadio Sanchez

Adolfo "Fifo" Troadio Sanchez, 89, of Union City, New Jersey, passed away on February 23rd, 2024. He was born on December 28, 1934, in Placetas, Cuba.

Fifo, as he was fondly known, was the son of Adolfo Sanchez, a hardware store owner, and Elvia "Sabina" Escobar.

On January the 28th, 1956, Fifo came into the United States and lived in New York City, before ultimately residing in Union City, New Jersey for over 60 years.

Fifo always made sure he worked hard for his family. Throughout his special life, he made long lasting connections with many due to his personality full of grace, honor, and respect, for himself but most importantly, for others. He was immensely adored by so many.

In the 1980s, one of his proudest achievements was when he joined the fraternity of the Masons, where he found an everlasting brotherhood and even became the Venerable Maestro from 2006-2007.

In his free time, Fifo watched boxing and especially enjoyed following the St. Louis Cardinals baseball team. He found joy in cheering for his favorite team and closely following their games.

Fifo will be dearly missed by his loving family. He is survived by his beloved wife Rosa Sanchez, his 7 children Adolfo Sanchez, Gil Grim, Sabina Sanchez, Stephanie Sanchez-Dermott, Farrah Sanchez, Duke Sanchez, Manny Sanchez, as well as his brother Dacio "Chaco" Sanchez, sister-in-law Juana Sanchez, his niece Nancy Sanchez and his 12 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.

A funeral service to honor Fifo's life will be held at the Hunt-Stellato Funeral Home in Fort Lee, New Jersey. The funeral home has been entrusted with the arrangements to assist the family during this difficult time.
