Alison Nee, beloved mother, grandmother, and sister, passed away peacefully on December 8, 2025, at the age of 89. Born on October 31, 1936, in Dundee, Scotland, Alison dedicated her life to helping others in her role as a Disability Manager at A&P Corporate Offices, a position she held with pride and compassion.
Alison was preceded in death by, her beloved husband, Bernard Nee; brother, Ian Patterson, and grandson, Ian Nee.
Alison is survived by her devoted family, including her daughter Lesley Ligas & her husband Paul, as well as her son Derek Nee & his wife Paula. She was a cherished grandmother to David Ligas, and Stephen Ligas & his wife Jennifer, who brought her immense joy. Alison also leaves behind her sister Joyce Gilmour, along with her cherished nephew and niece: Mark Gilmour, and Melissa Parry Williams.
Throughout her life, Alison had a vibrant spirit and a zest for life. She found delight in playing tennis and golf, and her love for travel took her to many beautiful destinations. Alison enjoyed the tranquility of beach days, where she would relax with a good book and a refreshing drink. Her heart danced at the thought of tea gatherings, but it was her fondness for cosmopolitans from Lassoni's that she cherished most.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, December 14th, 2025 from 2:00pm - 6:00pm in Ippolito-Stellato Funeral Home, Lyndhurst NJ. Mass will be celebrated on Monday, December 15th, 2025 at 10:00am in Sacred Heart Church, Lyndhurst NJ. Cremation private.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in Alison's memory to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital, reflecting her lifelong commitment to helping others.
Alison Nee's bright spirit and loving heart will forever be remembered and cherished by all who were fortunate enough to know her.
