Angela Castellano Pisciotta

July 15, 1951 — April 26, 2025

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Angela Marie Castellano Pisciotta, beloved wife, cherished mother, and extraordinary friend, who left this world on April 26, 2025, at the age of 73. Born on July 15, 1951, in New York, NY to Philip & Gloria Avello, Angela brought joy, strength, and wisdom to everyone she met, leaving an indelible mark on the lives of those she loved.

Angela was a proud graduate of North Arlington High School and further honed her passion for beauty and wellness at Capri Academy, where she became a skilled cosmetologist. She spent many fulfilling years as a fitness instructor and manager of Spa Lady, an exclusive women's gym, where her enthusiasm for health and empowerment inspired countless women in her community.

In October 1974, Angela married her high school sweetheart, Richard Castellano. Together, they embarked on a journey filled with adventure and travel, which provided her with some of her fondest memories. Their greatest joy came with the birth of their only son, Keith Castellano, in 1985, whom Angela dedicated her life to raising. Keith became a strong man, shaped by the values and love that Angela instilled in him. Sadly, Richard passed in 1996 but Angela did not lose her strength.

In 1999, Angela's life took a beautiful turn when she met Vincenzo Pisciotta. Their connection was immediate and profound, leading to a love story filled with joy, laughter, and shared adventures. They married in 2007, creating a partnership defined by dance, travel, and an unwavering bond that illuminated the lives of all who knew them.

Angela was known affectionately as "The Ang" to many, embodying the essence of a strong, independent woman. Her compassion, warmth, and nurturing spirit made her a mother figure to the close friends of her son and beyond. Angela's legacy of love, strength, and resilience will continue to live on through her family and friends.

Beloved sister of Philip Avello. Loving sister-in-law of Janet Castellano, Dominic, Sam, and Caterina Pisciotta. Loving aunt of Laura Castellano and Jessica Castellano. Also survived by many nieces, nephews, and extended Pisciotta family members who loved her very much.

Visitation Monday 2-4 & 6-8PM at the Ippolito-Stellato Funeral Home, Lyndhurst. Funeral Mass Tuesday 11AM at Our Lady of Mount Carmel, Lyndhurst. Interment Holy Cross Cemetery.
