Angelita O. Villegas

Angelita Ornum Villegas, beloved mother, grandmother, and dedicated pediatrician, passed away peacefully on September 22, 2025, at the age of 89. She was born on May 31, 1936, in Romblon, Philippines to Jose & Candida Ornum, and later made her home at the Winston Towers in Cliffside Park where she resided for almost 50 years. After retirement, she moved to Great Neck.

Dr. Villegas was a distinguished professional who earned her Doctorate and devoted her career to the field of healthcare. She spent countless hours caring for her young patients, embodying the very essence of compassion and dedication. As a pediatrician, she was respected and admired by her colleagues and cherished by the families she served.

Angelita is survived by her loving sons, Jonathan Robert Villegas and Lamont Steven Villegas. She was a proud grandmother to Michael Jonathan Villegas and Gabrielle Alexa Villegas, who will forever hold dear the memories of her warmth, wisdom, and love.

Friends and family will be received Wednesday 4-8 PM. Funeral Thursday 11 PM from the Hunt-Stellato Funeral Home, 1601 Palisade Ave, Fort Lee. Funeral Mass 12 PM at Church of the Epiphany. Interment to follow at Holy Cross Cemetery.
