Annamarie "Bunny" O'Connor

November 2, 1960 — May 2, 2025

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Annamarie O'Connor, age 64, on May 2nd, 2025. Born on November 2, 1960, in Edgewater, NJ to John and Mary (nee Cotter) Ahearn, Annamarie was a cherished daughter, sister, wife, mother, aunt, and friend leaving an indelible mark on the lives of those who had the privilege to know her.

Annamarie dedicated over two decades of her life to serving as the Municipal Chair of the Edgewater Democratic Committee, where her commitment to her community was evident in every effort she made. She was also a devoted member of the Edgewater Democratic Club, a former employee of the Local 52 Motion Picture Studio Mechanics Union, and an active participant in the NJ Clerk Association, where her passion for public service and civic engagement shone brightly. As a secretary to the Edgewater Planning Building, Annamarie played a vital role in shaping the future of her beloved hometown.

A lifelong New York Yankees fan, Annamarie's love for the game was matched only by her dedication to her family. She is survived by her beloved husband, Kevin O'Connor, her loving daughter Jaclyn O'Connor, and her dear sisters Patricia Coyle and Susan Callan. She also leaves behind a host of cherished nieces and nephews, including Kimberly, Jason, Michael, Ashley, Brianna, Jenna, Matthew, Christopher, Dayna, Tara, Shannon, Jeremiah, Colin, and Molly, and her great-nephews, Leonardo and Maverick, all of whom will carry her memory in their hearts. She is predeceased by her beloved brother Thomas, and cherished niece, Elizabeth.

Annamarie's warmth and kindness, combined with her unwavering spirit and commitment to her community, made her a remarkable person, and her legacy will endure through the countless lives she touched.

Visitation will be held on Sunday from 2-6 PM, allowing friends and family to gather in remembrance of Annamarie's beautiful life. Funeral Monday 9AM from the Hunt-Stellato Funeral Home, 1601 Palisade Ave, Fort Lee. Funeral mass will be held at 10AM at Holy Rosary Roman Catholic Church, followed by an interment at Christ the King Cemetery.

As we mourn the loss of Annamarie O'Connor, we celebrate her spirit, her passion for life, and her unwavering love for those around her. She wanted to thank those dear friends who were there with her to the end; Debbie, Kathy, Dolores, Pete, Louis, & Jeanie. She will be dearly missed but forever remembered.
