Anthony Francis Contey, Sr.

Anthony F. Contey Sr., 85, of Jersey City, NJ on Sunday, November 23, 2008. Beloved husband of the late Marie Joy (nee DelGaudio) Contey. Loving father of Susan & her husband Alan Purcell, and Anthony & his wife Darlene Contey. Cherished grandfather of Anthony Purcell, and Ariana & Toniann Contey. Mr. Contey was one of many children and an Army Veteran. He was a truck driver for Sealand in Elizabeth, NJ for 40 years and a member of Local #641. Funeral Service Wednesday at 2pm at the Ippolito-Stellato Funeral Home, 425 Ridge Road, Lyndhurst. Cremation is private. Friends will be received Wednesday 2-4 and 7-9pm.
