Anthony Leonardo, 18, lifelong resident of Lyndhurst, NJ on Wednesday, July 13, 2011. Beloved son of Maria & Tony Leonardo. Devoted grandson of Pastor Antonio & Maria Leonardo and Olga & the late Wladimir Beniuk. Loving brother of Andrew & Nicholas Leonardo. Cherished nephew of Walter Beniuk, Nina Beniuk, Liliane Beniuk, Michele & her husband Peter Teixeira and Miriam & her husband Anthony Fleming. Dear cousin of Pamela, Petey, Adam, Ben & Rachel. Adored boyfriend of Kirsten Klepacki. Anthony was an avid hockey player. He played Tier I & Tier II for various clubs including the Montclair Blues, NJ Devils Youth, NJ Rockets, Seton Hall Prep and Paramus Catholic. He had a love for the ocean which was evident in his joy of surfing. He also enjoyed snowboarding and playing guitar. Funeral Monday 11 AM at the Ippolito-Stellato Funeral Home, 425 Ridge Road, Lyndhurst. Interment Holy Cross Cemetery. Friends will be received Saturday & Sunday 3-7PM. In celebration of Anthony's life and love for surfing a memorial paddle out will be held on Thursday, July 21st at 6:30 PM at Bradley Beach on 4th Avenue, all are encouraged to join with their surfboards and hockey sticks.
