It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Anthony S. Piazza, a beloved father, grandfather, brother, and friend, who departed this life on April 17, 2026, at the age of 85. Born on February 11, 1941, in Jersey City, NJ, Tony lived a life characterized by hard work, dedication, and deep affection for his family and friends.

A proud member of the IBEW Electrical Union Local 164, Tony built a successful career as a contractor and electrician, founding his own business, Anthony Piazza, LLC. His craftsmanship and commitment to excellence earned him great respect in the construction industry and the community he served.

Tony was a proud and active member of the Italian American Club in Jersey City, where he deeply valued the friendships and sense of community he found there. He also had a true passion for cooking, taking great joy in preparing meals and bringing people together around the table. His zest for life, genuine warmth, and unmistakable sense of humor left a lasting impression on everyone he met. He will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.

Tony was not only defined by his profession but also by his passion for life and commitment to family. He is survived by his beloved partner of many years, Anna Ciani, who was a constant source of love and support, his cherished daughter, Toni Marie Bowman, and her husband, Todd Bowman, his step-children, Joseph Ciani and his wife, Gail, as well as Kim Anne Caputo and her husband, Mark, along with his beloved grandchildren: Joseph Ciani, Nicole Ciani, Jaclyn Caputo, Dominick Ciani, and Maxwell Caputo. He leaves a legacy of love and guidance that will forever resonate in their hearts.

n addition to his immediate family, Tony is survived by his dear brother, Joseph Piazza, as well as several loving nieces and nephews: Richard Michaluk, Dawn Michaluk, Felicya Morreale, Michael Piazza, Megan Piazza, and Vanessa Vesce. He was predeceased by his sister, Ida Senick.

Visitation will be held at Ippolito-Stellato Funeral Home, Lyndhurst on Wednesday, April 22, 2026, from 4:00 PM - 8:00 PM. Funeral Thursday, April 23th, 2026 at 9AM from Ippolito-Stellato Funeral Home. A Mass will be celebrated in his honor at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, Lyndhurst at 10AM, followed by an entombment at Holy Cross Cemetery & Mausoleum, North Arlington.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Anthony’s memory to the American Kidney Fund.
