It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Anthony Rocco Vizzuso, age 91, who died peacefully surrounded by family, on November 1, 2025, at Clara Maass Medical Center. Anthony was born on August 13, 1934, in Newark, he married in 1960, and moved his family to Fairfield in 1967.

Family and tradition were the core of Anthony's existence. He and Lillian were married for 65 years and together for 69 years. From his humble beginnings in Newark, NJ to the family home he had build in Fairfield, NJ, his "family first" energy helped him weave a strong network. He and Lillian raised their three children steeped in the Italian-American traditions of sunday dinners and family holidays. They welcomed and hosted aunts, uncles, and cousins from Italy, growing the network exponentially. He especially enjoyed being a part of his grandchildren's lives, attending their sporting events, and providing them with an extensive list of phrases and comments which will always remind them of his matter-of-fact sense of humor. His incredible loyalty to and love for the people who surrounded him will be his legacy.

He leaves behind his loving wife, Lillian Marie Vizzuso (nee Calabrese); and his three children, Tonimarie Anne Arena and her husband Dr. Frank, Carol Marie Gentilucci and her husband Mark, and Frank Anthony Vizzuso and his wife Donna. He was a proud grandfather to Andrew August Gentilucci and his wife Olivia, Katherine Elizabeth Arena and her fiancé Michael, Robert Anthony Gentilucci, Diana Michelle Arena Morris and her husband Ryan, Aimee Nicole Vizzuso DeAlesandro and her husband Joey, Joseph Paul Gentilucci and his wife Olivia, Kellie Marie Vizzuso and her fiancé Levi, and Emilee Elizabeth Vizzuso. He is also survived by his great-grandchildren, Emerson Grace Gentilucci, Isla Jane Gentilucci, Anthony John Morris, and Marcella Rose DeAlesandro. Additionally, he is survived by his brother, Rocco Frank Vizzuso; five nieces and nephews; nine great-nieces and great-nephews; and many, many cousins both here and in Italy, including Rocco Brienza, Maria Carmela Brienza Petrillo, and Antonietta Brienza Coppa.

Anthony was preceded in death by his parents, Francesco Paolo Vizzuso and Antonia Maria Vizzuso (nee Brienza), his uncle and aunt, Pangrazio Brienza and his wife Angela, and his cousin, Natalina Brienza Canas.

Anthony was a dedicated professional who graduated Seton Hall University with a business degree. He used his degree and his math savvy, from mainframes to our current wireless status, and worked his way up to serving as the Director of Information Technology for E.J. Brooks in the manufacturing industry. His career was marked by his unwavering commitment to excellence and innovation.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, November 9th, 2025 from 2:00pm - 6:00pm in Ippolito-Stellato Funeral Home, Fairfield NJ. Mass will be celebrated at St. Thomas More Church on Monday, November 10, 2025, at 10:00 AM. Following the mass, Anthony will be entombed at Glendale Cemetery at 11:45 AM.

Anthony's presence will be deeply missed by all who knew him. May he rest in peace.
