Arlene K. Doyle, beloved wife, mother, sister, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, and friend, passed away peacefully on May 5, 2026, at the age of 80. Born on September 29, 1945, in Jersey City, NJ, she resided in Bloomfield, NJ. Arlene lived a vibrant life marked by her unwavering love for her family and her remarkable spirit.
Arlene graduated from high school and dedicated many years of her life to her profession as a bartender at Rosie Radigan's in Jersey City, where she formed lasting connections with friends and patrons alike. She was known not only for her skills behind the bar but also for her strength of character and her memorable sense of humor-she always insisted, "I am always right."
A passionate lover of animals, Arlene was devoted to her furry companion, Gizmo, who brought her joy and warmth. She was an excellent cook renowned for her mouthwatering stuffed cabbage rolls, as well as her potato pancakes and stuffed chicken. In her home, she created an atmosphere of love and belonging, always welcoming those in need with open arms and a warm heart.
She found joy in the simple thrill of chance, never passing up a slot machine or a scratch-off ticket, always hoping the next spin or reveal might bring a little extra sparkle to her day.
Arlene's candid nature was matched only by her profound loyalty to her family. She was a loving daughter, closely caring for her mother in her later years, and took joy in nurturing her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Her home often became a sanctuary for her loved ones, who cherished her outspoken personality and her genuine affection.
Arlene was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph Nidowicz & Ellen Mae (nee Moran); her great-grandchild, Avery Curzio; and her sisters, Doreene Nidowicz and Valerie Dykes.
Arlene is survived by her devoted spouse, Francis Doyle; her children, Mickey Doyle, Lisa & her husband Frank Cappa, Mark Doyle, Kelly Doyle, and Michele & her husband Jeff Wickner; her cherished grandchildren, Amanda Cappa & John Paylo, Frankie Cappa & his wife Keri, Meagan Maher & her husband Matt, Justin Johnson, Victoria Curzio & her husband Conner, Lyndsay Johnson, Ashley Larger, Kendall Larger, Jackson Larger, and Ian Weiner; as well as her beloved great-grandchildren, Madelynn Cuomo, Mason Curzio, Mack Maher, Jovie Paylo, Maeve Maher, Morgan Cappa, and Jamo Paylo.
