In the gentle winds of New Jersey's fall, Benita M. Eloy answered Heaven's call. In nineteen thirty-one, a spring day saw her birth. In El Papayo's soil, she first knew her worth. Benita, a seamstress, with needle and thread, fashioned dreams into clothing, her family she led. Born in the heart of the Dominican sun, to Fort Lee she journeyed-her new life begun. A store called Fabrics and Things was her pride, where seams of her essence were stitched deep inside. As sample maker, then designer, her talents were vast. In the tapestry of industry, her patterns were cast.

Her children, Alfredo, Arelis, Kirsis, Luis, Soraya by name, grew under her care, each found their own fame. Grandchildren and great ones, a blooming brigade, in the gardens of love that Benita had made. Sister to Brunilda, to Carmen close too, within their shared laughter, their strength ever grew.

In the Christian faith, she found her great guide, through trials and triumphs, Christ at her side. Her passion for sewing, a thread through her life, through times of joy, and her last valiant strife. Bingo calls echoed, her laughter would ring. In gardens she nurtured, life was early spring. Interior's beauty, she shaped with fine hand. In spaces she touched, her vision was grand. Loving and generous, to all known and strange. Her courage unyielding, she welcomed all change.

Farewell Benita, your journey's now done. The battles you fought, were valiantly won. You've sewn your last pattern, played your last bingo game. In our hearts, your loving presence remains just the same. With Shakespeare in mind, the truth rings so clear, "Good night, good night! Parting is such sweet sorrow." For your spirited legacy, we hold dear.

You'll live in our hearts, today and tomorrow. Now rest in the heavens, in peace may you dwell. With tales of your kindness, for ages we'll tell. Benita, our matriarch, our guide, and our friend. Your memory, a treasure, that will never end.
