Carmela (nee Cuomo) LaVista, 94, of Lyndhurst, NJ on Thursday, April 26, 2012. Beloved wife of the late Joseph LaVista. Loving mother of Peter & his wife Jean, & Joseph LaVista. Dear sister of Gerard Cuomo, Rev. Rocco Cuomo and the late Thomas & Peter Cuomo, Theresa Scala and Marie Liotti. Cherished grandmother of Michael & his wife Barbara and Steven & his wife Rose. Mrs. LaVista was a member of the Lyndhurst Senior Citizens Club and a parishioner of Mt. Carmel Church. Funeral Monday at 10 AM from the Ippolito-Stellato Funeral Home, 425 Ridge Road, Lyndhurst. Funeral Mass 11 AM Our Lady of Mt. Carmel R.C. Church. Interment Hillside Cemetery. Friends will be received Sunday 3-7 PM. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Our Lady of Mt.
