Chris Minardi

January 2, 1938 — June 21, 2025

Chris Minardi, beloved husband, father, grandfather, and dedicated Fireman, passed away on June 21, 2025, at the age of 87. He was born on January 2, 1938, in Gela, Sicily and later made his home in Fairfield, New Jersey.

Chris was a proud veteran serving in the National Guard and dedicated over 53 years of service to the Fairfield Fire Department, where he made a lasting impact on the community. He was a dedicated employee for 37 years at PSE & G, serving as a service technician prior to his retirement in 1997. A man of faith, Chris was an active parishioner of Our Lady of Holy Angels Church and a member of the Knights of Columbus Councils #3835 in Little Falls and #6380 in Fairfield.

His commitment to community extended beyond his roles in the fire department and church; he was also a cherished member of several senior organizations including St. Mary's Active Seniors in Pompton Lakes, Fairfield Golden Agers, Wanaque Golden Agers, North Caldwell Seniors, and the DaVinci Club.

Beloved husband of Arlene (nee DiMeglio) Minardi. Loving father of Kevin & his wife Laurie Ann Minardi. Cherished grandfather of Alexandra and Jake. Dear brother of the late Emanuele and Brigida Minardi and brother-in-law of John (Marie) and Anthony (Barbara) DiMeglio. Many nieces, nephews, great nieces & nephews and great-grand nieces & nephews.

Family and friends are invited to pay their respects Wednesday 4-8pm at the Ippolito-Stellato Funeral Home, 7 Two Bridges Rd., Fairfield. Funeral Thursday 8:30 at the Funeral Home followed by a Mass of Christian Burial 9:30am at Our Lady of Holy Angels Church. Entombment at Gate of Heaven Mausoleum.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Fairfield Fire Department or the American Cancer Society in Chris's honor. He will be dearly missed but remembered for his unwavering dedication to his family and community.
