Concetta Delisi

Concetta N. DeLisi (nee Capaccio) 100, died peacefully surrounded by the love of her family on Sunday August 20, 2023. Connie, as she was known, was born and raised in Lyndhurst NJ. She was the daughter of Mattio and Marie (Fusco) Capaccio. She was a member and past president of the Lyndhurst Amvets Women’s Auxiliary Post #20. Connie was employed by Becton Dickinson where she enjoyed a long administrative career with them retiring in the late 1970’s at which time she married and moved to Palm Coast Fl, and later Flagler Beach, FL. While in Florida, Connie enjoyed a relaxing yet active lifestyle, frequently playing golf with her lady friends. Her Catholic faith was a central part of her being which she was devoted to throughout her life. She was an active member in her Church, Santa Maria del Mar Catholic Church in Flagler Beach. At the age of 82, she moved back to Fairfield, NJ to be closer to her beloved sister, niece and nephews. Living in Fairfield she became involved in the senior community and actively participated in sponsored luncheons and events, meeting many new friends. Connie was a parishioner of Notre Dame RC Church in North Caldwell, NJ where she and her sister regularly attended mass. Connie was the quintessential aunt to her beloved niece and nephews, actively participating in their lives. They each enjoyed a special bond with her and were devoted to her throughout her life.

She was the loving wife of the late Walter Noreiko and the late Mario DeLisi. Cherished sister of Maria Josephine Abate Logatto and the late Lt. Paul and Benjamin Capaccio, sister-in law to the late Dolores (Tessalone) Capaccio, adored aunt of Joseph (Lorraine) Abate Jr., George (Roseann) Abate and Mia (Michael) Pelosci and treasured aunt to her many great nieces and nephews.

Funeral Mass Wednesday 11AM Sacred Heart RC Church, Lyndhurst, NJ. Interment Gate of Heaven Cemetery, East Hanover, NJ.
