It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Corbyn Grosso, a beloved husband, father, and cherished member of the Lyndhurst community, on May 12, 2025, at the age of 89. Corbyn was born on June 1, 1935, in Passaic, New Jersey to Frank & Celia (nee Waldeck) Grosso. His life was a testament to resilience, hard work, and deep love for his family.
Corbyn dedicated his career as a self-employed electrician, proudly running Grosso Electric Service, where he earned respect and admiration for his craft. He was also known for his unwavering commitment to his community, having served as the Ex Chief of the Lyndhurst Fire Department and as a dedicated member of the Lyndhurst Emergency Squad. His service to others exemplified the kindness and generosity that defined his character.
Corbyn is survived by his beloved wife, Genevieve Lotito Grosso, and his loving children: the late Edward & his wife Ginger Grosso, Donna & her husband Louis Bianco, and Rosemarie & her husband the late Ray Ernst. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Lisa, Gina, Melissa, and Corbin, as well as his treasured great-grandchildren, Savanna, Eva, and Matthew. Each of them will forever hold precious memories of the moments shared with Corbyn-his laughter, wisdom, and boundless love. He is predeceased by the mother of his children, Madeline Lotito Grosso, and his siblings, Jacquelyn Tanner and Donald Grosso.
Visitation will be held on Thursday from 4-8 PM, where friends and family are invited to celebrate the life of a man who gave so much to those around him. Funeral Friday 10 AM from the Ippolito-Stellato Funeral Home, 425 Ridge Road, Lyndhurst. Interment to follow St. Joseph Cemetery.
Corbyn Grosso will be remembered not only for his contributions to our community but also for the legacy of love and dedication he leaves behind. May he rest in peace.
