Chiafulio, Donald A., 84, of Fairfield, NJ passed away peacefully on Saturday, August 21, 2010. Beloved son of the late Elvira & step-father Peter Scrillo. Devoted husband of Carolyn (nee Melvin) Chiafulio. Loving father of Michael Chiafulio & Kathleen & her husband Scott Buchan. Cherished grandfather of Cassidy, Morgan & Jesse. Dear friend of Chuck Cipriano. Mr. Chiafulio was a graduate of NYU. He was a WWII veteran serving in the Navy. On Sept. 8th Donald & Carolyn would have celebrated their 54th Anniversary. One of the last things he called his wife was the "love of his life." Mr. Chiafulio was currently writing a book about socialism. His hobbies included politics, playing golf, bowling, & traveling with his wife. Funeral Wednesday at 9AM from the Ippolito-Stellato Funeral Home, 7 Two Bridges Road, Fairfield, NJ. Funeral Mass 10AM St. Thomas More R.C. Church. Interment Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Friends will be received Tuesday 4-8PM.
