It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Donald J. Curran Jr. on November 21, 2025, at the age of 65. Born on June 20, 1960, in Jersey City, NJ, Donald was a lifelong resident of North Arlington, where he brought joy and kindness to all who knew him.

Donald dedicated much of his life to his work as a machine operator in the specialized tool sharpening industry at Apex Saw & Tools in Lyndhurst, NJ. His commitment to his profession was exemplary, a testament to his strong work ethic and skill.

A man of faith, Donald was a very active parishioner at Grace Episcopal Church in Rutherford, NJ, where he found community and connection. He will be remembered not only for his devotion to his church, but also for his genuine heart. He had a truly personable spirit, and could strike up a conversation with anyone, turning strangers into friends in moments.

Donald was preceded in death by his brother, David Curran.

In 2018, Donald found love with his partner, Maria Santiago. Their bond was filled with warmth and affection, and he held Maria dear to his heart.

Donald is survived by his beloved sisters, Carleen Lore and her husband Richard, and Kathleen Curran & her partner, James Garry. He will also be missed by his nieces & nephews, Nicole Kobryn; Louis Verbout and his wife Tina, Kerri Garry, and James Garry; as well as his great niece & Great-nephew, Anna Kobryn and David Kobryn. Additionally, he leaves behind many loving cousins and friends who cherished his presence in their lives.

Visitation will be held on Monday, November 24th, 2025 from 3:00pm-6:00pm in Ippolito-Stellato Funeral Home, Lyndhurst. Cremation is private.

In this moment of sorrow, we find solace in the memory of Donald's laughter, love, and unwavering spirit. He will be deeply missed but forever remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
