Doris A. Opdyke

Doris A. Opdyke (nee Hakusa), 83, of Tinton Falls, NJ, formerly of Rutherford on Sunday, November 22, 2009. Loving wife of the late H. Addison Opdyke. Dear sister of Norma Counts and the late Robert Hakusa. Cherished aunt of many nieces & nephews. Mrs. Opdyke was a graduate of North Arlington High School and Upsala College. For many years she was a resident counselor at Bergen County Housing Authority in East Rutherford. She taught social dance at many elementary schools in the greater Bergen County area and was a substitute teacher in both Lyndhurst and Paterson school districts. She was a member of the Rutherford Taxpayers Association. Service Monday at 11 AM at the Ippolito-Stellato Funeral Home, 425 Ridge Road, Lyndhurst. Friends will be received Monday 10:30 AM.
