Eleanor Lombardi, 90, of Lyndhurst, NJ, passed away peacefully on July 26, 2026. Born and raised in the vibrant neighborhood of Bay Ridge, Brooklyn, on October 18, 1935 to Anthony & Mary (Lombardo) Traola, Eleanor was a devoted homemaker who dedicated her life to her family and the love that surrounded her.

In her early years, Eleanor began her professional journey working at New York Life, where she honed her skills and built lifelong friendships. She met her beloved husband, Jerry, and together, they embarked on a beautiful partnership that spanned 68 years and included the successful management of Jerry Lombardi Plumbing & Heating. Eleanor took pride in her role in the family business, and her leadership qualities shone through as she served as President of the Master Plumbers League from 1976 to 1978.

Eleanor's passion for life extended beyond her profession; she was an enthusiastic member of the Bergen County Antique Dolls Club and enjoyed inviting friends and family for evenings filled with card games and Mahjong. Known for her love of cooking, Eleanor prepared countless meals infused with warmth, humor, and a touch of her undeniable charm.

A true lover of the shore, Eleanor cherished summers spent at her family home on the Jersey Shore, where laughter and connection defined every gathering. She also found joy in relaxing evenings with her favorite television shows, including Jeopardy! and Wheel of Fortune, always ready to engage and test her knowledge.

Eleanor's heart was woven with love for her family, her life's greatest treasures. She is predeceased by her beloved husband, Jerry "Ciro" W. Lombardi, loving daughter Geraldine & her husband Robert Facchin, and her brother Dominic "Mickey". She is survived by her devoted daughter Christine & her husband Kenneth Remo, cherished grandchildren Gina Facchin & her fiancé Jeff Turi, Marilyn Remo, and Eric Remo, and her dear siblings Lawrence "Larry", and Joanne, who will forever hold her memory close to their hearts.

Friends & family will be recieved Wednesday 3-7 PM. Funeral service Thursday 10-11 AM at the Ippolito-Stellato Funeral Home, 425 Ridge Road, Lyndhurst. Interment to follow at Hillside Cemetery.

Eleanor Lombardi will be deeply missed but never forgotten; her spirit will continue to inspire and guide those who had the privilege of knowing her. Through her loved ones and countless cherished memories, her legacy of love will forever shine brightly.
