Elena Bocchi (Imbimbo), 87, formerly of Montgomery NJ, and a long-time resident of Fort Lee, New Jersey, passed away peacefully and surrounded by her family on October 8, 2026.

Born in Cesinale (Avellino), Italy, on August 5, 1939, Elena courageously immigrated to the United States in 1960. It was in Union City, New Jersey, where she met the love of her life, Camillo. Together, they shared a beautiful marriage that spanned over 50 years, built on a foundation of deep devotion and love.

As a mother of six children, she dedicated her life to raising her family in Fort Lee, creating a home filled with faith, strength, and love. Her legacy of profound courage and fierce devotion will live on forever through the generations she nurtured.

Renowned for her great style and elegance, she brought beauty and warmth into every room she entered. Elena was a remarkably strong woman of immense courage. She was profoundly devoted to the Blessed Mother, from whom she drew her unwavering strength. Her greatest attribute was the boundless, unconditional love she had for her family.

Elena was a legendary chef and expressed her love through her cooking where the kitchen was the heart of her home. Deeply rooted in her faith and her community, Elena volunteered at the Epiphany School for many years. Her legendary generosity and love of feeding others was felt by generations of students.

Elena was predeceased by her beloved husband, Camillo; her cherished daughter, Rita; and her beloved son, John Paul.

She is survived by her devoted children: Diane Bocchi Esola (Donald), Ann Bocchi Schwimmer (Robert), Lucy Bocchi Kraus (Michael), Anthony (Jennifer) and daughter-in-law Michele Bocchi Sandello.

She is also survived by her 13 cherished grandchildren: Erika (Joseph), Matthew (May), Nicholas, Rebecca (Salvatore), Sarah (Brian), Stephen (Sara), Michael Peter, Michael Thomas Jr., Paul, John, Anthony,Luke, Vanessa, and great grandchildren Camillo Joseph, Jame Hudson, Elena Lynn, John Carlo and Emilia Lynn, who brought immense joy to her life, as well as many extended family members and friends who will miss her dearly.

A Funeral Mass of Celebration will be held at 9:30 AM on October 16, 2026, at the Church of the Epiphany, located at 247 Knox Avenue, Cliffside Park, New Jersey 07010.
