Elisa Coccia Scarpino, born on August 30, 1960, in Newark, NJ, passed away peacefully in East Hanover, NJ, leaving behind a legacy of love and laughter. She was a devoted mother, sister, and friend who touched the hearts of all who knew her.
A Certified Mohs Histotechnician for over 30 years, Elisa served with excellence under many doctors including Dr. Adrian Connolly. Beyond her professional achievements, she was a cherished member of her community, actively involved in the lives of her children and their friends, always known as "everyone's best friend." Her vibrant spirit could light up any room, and she was the life of the party, renowned for her unique ability to make others laugh.
Beloved wife of the late Anthony Scarpino. Loving mother of Elyse Scarpino & their fiance Flynn Forester and Grace Keating & her husband Marty. Doting sister to Anna Marie Cesario and the late Joseph Coccia, Jr.. She will be deeply missed by her "Sistas" from 15th St., friends from Old Farm Rd., and the "O Street" Pilgrims. Her legacy continues with her many beloved Godchildren, nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
Elisa was an active member of Notre Dame of Mount Carmel Church, where she shared her warmth and compassion with others. She also took pride in leading Girl Scout troops, teaching CCD & VBS and being a member of the PTA. An avid lover of all things Lucille Ball and Elton John, she enjoyed Dunkin' coffee with friends, smoking cigars, watching Nascar and lounging at the beach. She left memories that will live on in the hearts of her friends and family.
Visitation Sunday 3-7PM at the Ippolito-Stellato Funeral Home, 7 Two Bridges Rd., Fairfield. Funeral Mass Monday 10AM Notre Dame of Mount Carmel RC Church. Entombment at Holy Chapel Mausoleum.
Her bright light will continue to shine in all whose lives were enriched by her vibrant spirit, kindness, humor, and unwavering love.
