Ellen Claire Kummer

Ellen Claire Kummer, of Elmwood Park, NJ, passed away on Saturday, November 24, 2012 after a long battle with dementia at the age of 84. Ellen was born in Paterson, NJ on May 20, 1928 and until recently was a resident of the House of Good Shepard, Hackettstown, NJ. She was a loving mother to four beautiful children and loving grandmother to 11 grandchildren. She is survived by her loving companion, Gene Azzalina of Elmwood Park, NJ, her sisters Marie Scherb, Betty Wittenburg, and brother Ronald Ratzlaff, her two daughters, Kathy Dautel (Florida), and Janet Jaeger (NJ) and her two sons, Robert Kummer (Germany) and Blair Kummer (NJ) and her grandchildren Spring, KC, Dylan, Jacob, Christopher, Lauren, Alison, Hannah, Marshall, Zachary & Siena. Cryptside service Friday 11 AM at St. Nicholas Cemetery, Lodi. Friends will be received Thursday 7-9 PM at the Ippolito-Stellato Funeral Home, 7 Two Bridges Road, Fairfield.
