Frances Restmeyer

Frances Restmeyer, most recently of Boonton Township, New Jersey,  passed away on Sunday, May 5, at the age of 90 following a brief illness.  She was predeceased by her beloved husband of 63 years, Herbert Restmeyer, as well as her three sisters, and is survived by her three children and seven grandchildren: son William & wife Christine of McKinney, TX and their children Eric, Lindsay, and Grant; daughter Lisa (Restmeyer) Lewis of Montville, NJ & husband Gary Lewis and their children Kayla and Alec; and son Daniel & wife Suzanne of Moorpark, CA and their children Nicole and Emily. 

Born in Passaic, New Jersey, Fran was the daughter of Daniel and Margaret Doughaen.  Fran and Herb met while working at Hoffman LaRoche in Nutley, NJ, married in 1956 and raised their three children in NJ and PA. 

Fran and Herb moved to Ormond Beach, FL from Mendham, NJ in 1996 and were members of the Plantation Bay Golf and Country Club community and for many years were active golfers. They also enjoyed traveling, bowling and boating and the company of a large network of wonderful friends.  Fran returned to NJ 4½  years ago to be close to family.  Not a person could go by without commenting on her sparkling blue eyes and sweet smile.   

A celebration of life will be planned in the near future.   Arrangements are in the care and trust of Ippolito Stellato Funeral Home in Fairfield, NJ.
