It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Frances Ann Rodriguez (Pelli), age 71, who passed away peacefully on November 3rd after a courageous battle with multiple sclerosis.
Born on January 15th, 1954, in Jersey City, New Jersey, Fran lived her life with extraordinary strength, grace, and an unwavering positive spirit. Despite the many challenges she faced, she greeted each day with optimism and gratitude, inspiring everyone who knew her with her resilience and warmth.
Fran was a woman of great heart and humor, always putting others before herself. Her smile could light up a room, and her words of encouragement brought comfort to many. She had a gift for finding joy in simple moments - whether sharing tea with a friend, spending time with her grandchildren, or laughing with her family.
Fran was predeceased by her beloved husband of 34 years, Manny Rodriguez; her parents, Vincent (Jimmy) and Nancy Pelli; her sister, Cathy Dougherty; and her brothers, Vinny and David Pelli.
She is survived by her devoted daughter, Marisa Schaefer, and her husband, Steve, and her loving son, Matthew Rodriguez, and his wife, Debbie. She was the cherished grandmother of Sierra and Matthew.
Fran is also survived by her dear siblings: Joe Pelli and his wife, Barbara; Linda Nugent and her husband, Tim; Nancy Fischl and her husband, Eddie; Lisa Balestrieri and her husband, Bob; and John Pelli. She will also be lovingly remembered by her sister-in-law, Tania Silver; brother-in-law, Dennis Dougherty; and many adoring nieces and nephews.
Despite her long battle with illness, Fran was known for her radiant smile, uplifting spirit, and unwavering positivity. She never complained and brought warmth and joy to everyone around her. Everyone will forever cherish her love, guidance, and the countless memories they shared.
Fran's family would like to thank the doctors, nurses, and caregivers who provided her with compassion and care throughout her illness.
Visitation for family & friends will be Thursday, November 6, 4-8 PM. Funeral Friday 10 AM from the Ippolito-Stellato Funeral Home, 425 Ridge Road, Lyndhurst. Funeral mass 11 AM at Sacred Heart Church. Interment to follow at Holy Cross Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society.
Though her body grew tired, her spirit never wavered. Frances will be remembered always for her courage, kindness, and the light she brought into this world.
