Francesco Lavecchia, 83, of Lyndhurst, NJ on Monday, September 5, 2011. Beloved husband of 55 years to Maria (nee Peragine) Lavecchia. Loving father of Michael Lavecchia, Rosa & her husband Ralph DiBattista, Pierina & her husband John D'Amato, and Dina Lavecchia. Dear brother of Nunzia & Vitina. Cherished grandfather of Michelina, Sabrina, Alexandra, Samantha, Lucas, Paul, Michael, Roseann, Nina Maria, Francesca, Anthony, Gabriella and Alexis. Adored great-grandfather of eight. Mr. Lavecchia was born in Grumo Appula, Bari, Italy and came to Jersey City on March 25, 1970. He was a loving & devoted husband, father and grandfather. He was a quiet man who loved gardening. Funeral Thursday at 10 AM from the Ippolito-Stellato Funeral Home, 425 Ridge Road, Lyndhurst, NJ. Funeral Mass 11 AM Sacred Heart R.C. Church. Interment Holy Cross Cemetery. Friends will be received Wednesday 2-4 & 6-9 PM.
