Francis "Frank" Gremsperger

Francis "Frank" Gremsperger passed away on Monday, May 18, 2026, at the age of 69. Born on July 25, 1956, in Passaic, New Jersey to Francis & Elvira (nee Gorun) Gremsperger. Frank grew up in Clifton and later resided in Garfield and Fairfield, but he always found solace at his home in Jefferson, NY, where he enjoyed the beauty of nature alongside his beloved animals: Simon, Zoey, Sunshine & Freddie.

Frank was a talented auto mechanic, dedicating his expertise to Suburban Auto in Paterson and Nash Park Auto Body in Clifton. Known for his profound love of animals and his passion for Harley motorcycles, he proudly attended the Harley Rendezvous Class for 25 years. Frank was renowned for being a "Gentle Giant", offering the biggest bear hugs that made you know you were loved and left a lasting impression.

He surrounded himself with a tight circle of friends, whom he loved like family, and was always ready to lend a helping hand. A great storyteller, Frank brought joy to gatherings with his captivating tales, leaving smiles on the faces of everyone in his presence.

Frank is now reunited with his long-time companion, Susan Drake, in heaven, where we know he is at peace with the love of his life.

Visitation will be held Tuesday 4-7PM at Ippolito-Stellato Funeral Home, 7 Two Bridges Rd., Fairfield. Cremation Private.

As we remember Frank, we celebrate a life filled with kindness and the unmistakable spirit of friendship he shared with all those he loved. He will be dearly missed but fondly remembered in the hearts of many.
