Frank J Donato, born on May 26, 1952, and a lifelong resident of Union City, NJ, passed away on December 4, 2025.
Frank graduated from Emerson High School, in 1970 and went on to serve in the U.S. Army Reserves. He worked as an ironworker and took night classes at Jersey City State University, where he was studying to become a teacher. In January 1975, he was in a life changing car accident that left him permanently disabled and altered the course of his life. Even with everything he went through, Frank stayed strong, positive, and optimistic.
He enjoyed watching Jeopardy and Wheel of Fortune, and he loved listening to music - especially his favorite bands, The Rolling Stones and The Beatles.
Frank was predeceased by his loving and devoted parents, Joseph and Anna Donato, his beloved brother, Patrick Donato, and caring brother-in-law, Henry McDonnell. Frank is survived by his loving and devoted sister, Joann McDonnell, and his cherished nephew Christopher McDonnell.
Frank will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
