George Szweada

Szweada, George, 87, lifelong resident of Bayonne, NJ passed away on Friday, July 30, 2010 surrounded by his loving family. George is an Army Veteran of World War II he served as a First Class Private in the 180th Infantry 45th Division. He was also a prisoner of war. Later in life George retired from the Bayonne Public Library as a maintenance mechanic. He will be missed by his loving wife Theresa (nee Bolger) Szweada, his children Betty & her husband Jim Canary, Pat & her husband Gary Biasi, Marianne & her husband Robert Macri, Steven & his wife Kathy Szweada, Robert & his wife Veronica Szweada, Thomas & his wife Chris Szweada, Lynda Szweada, & Renee Bedrosian, & his endeared 19 grandchildren & 12 great-grandchildren. George is predeceased by his son George Szweada & siblings Andrew Szweada, Betty Graziano, Rose Lubinski, Ceil, Mary, & Helen Szweada. Funeral Wednesday at 8:45AM from Bayonne Memorial Home 854 Avenue C Bayonne, NJ. Funeral Mass 9:45AM at St. Andrew's R.C. Church. Interment Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington. Friends will be received Tuesday 2-4 & 7-9PM. Donations may be made to St. Jude's Childrens Research Hospital 501 St. Jude Place Memphis, TN 38105.
