Giuseppe Samarelli

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Giuseppe Samarelli, aged 81, who passed away on Monday, September 7, 2026. Born in Molfetta, Bari, Italy, on January 9, 1945, Giuseppe brought joy and warmth to the lives of all who knew him. 

Devoted husband of Francesca (nee Cirillo) Samarelli. Loving father of Maurizio & his wife Diana and Robert & his wife Ariel. Cherished nonno of Valentina, Milania, Mia, Lucianna, and Giuseppe. Dear brother of Mario, Marta, Antonio, and Beatrice. Beloved brother-in-law of Mauro, Corrado, Stefano, Graziano, Leonardo, Ignacio, Antonio, Sabino and the late Giuseppe. Also survived by many extended family members and friends.

Throughout his life, Giuseppe was known for his remarkable work ethic. He began his career as a factory worker, specializing in machine parts, where he dedicated 20 years of his carrer. Before his retirement, he worked as a Longshoreman for over 10 years. His skills extended beyond the workplace; he was a talented bricklayer and carpenter, always willing to lend a helping hand to family and friends. Giuseppe's loyalty and dedication to his loved ones was evident in every gathering, especially during the holidays when he relished spending time with family.

A devoted sports fan, Giuseppe was an avid supporter of Juventus soccer, and his love for the beautiful game brought him joy throughout his life.

 Funeral Saturday 8AM from the Ippolito-Stellato Funeral Home, 425 Ridge Road, Lyndhurst, NJ. Funeral Mass Saturday 10AM St. Ann RC Church, Hoboken. Entombment Holy Mausoleum. 

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Giuseppe's memory to the Alzheimer's Association.

Giuseppe will be remembered for his unwavering love, dedication, and the indelible mark he left on the hearts of his family and friends. May he rest in peace.
