Evans, Harold W., 86, on Monday, September 7, 2009 at Mountainside Hospital, Glen Ridge. Beloved husband for 61 years of Eleanor (nee McCabe) Evans. Loving father of Rodger & his wife Lillian, Robert & his wife Sandra, Harold III, Ellen M., Kathy and the late David Evans. Cherished grandfather of 6 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. Mr. Evans lived in Fairfield for 53 years and had worked for Curtis-Wright. He was an Army veteran and a member of the VFW and Knights of Columbus, both in Fairfield. Funeral Friday at 9AM from the Ippolito-Stellato Funeral Home, 7 Two Bridges Rd., Fairfield. Funeral Mass 10AM St. Thomas More R.C. Church. Entombment Gate of Heaven Cemetery, East Hanover. Friends will be received Thursday 4-8PM.
