Ida Perri, beloved matriarch, passed away on Thursday, May 21, 2026, at the age of 88. She was born to Santo & Finita Turano on May 3, 1938, in Acri, Cosenza, Italy. She made the journey to the United States in 1960, eventually settling in Lyndhurst, New Jersey, where she resided for over 40 years.
Ida was the cherished wife of the late Pasquale Perri. Loving mother to Maria Gencarelli & her husband Angelo, Giuseppe Perri & his wife Natalie, Diane Rizzolo & her husband Rich, and Mike Perri. Proud Nonni of Jessica (Ed), Renee(Craig), Vanessa, Alyssa, Brielle, Dante, Michael, Gianna, Jenna, Matthew and the late McKayla. Adored great-grandmother of Juliana, Jamie, Hailey, Corey, Ayden, Priscilla, and Rainelle. Dear sister of Angelo & his wife Lucy, Salvatore & his wife Josephine, Mario & his wife Cecilia and the late Francesco & his wife Concetta, Carmine & his wife Maria, Giuseppe & his wife Gemma, and Immacolata & her husband Pasquale.
Ida will be remembered for her selflessness, kind heart, and her unwavering dedication to caring for others. She nurtured her brothers, her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, always putting their needs before her own. Alongside her husband, she worked diligently at Gino's Pizzeria while raising her family, and she took great pride in passing down her Italian heritage. Ida carried on her family's traditions, especially those that revolved around cooking, delighting her loved ones with homemade sausage, sauce, and delectable cookies.
Visitation Tuesday 4-8PM at the Ippolito-Stellato Funeral Home, 425 Ridge Road, Lyndhurst. Funeral Mass Wednesday 9:45AM Queen of Peace R.C. Church. Entombment at Holy Cross Mausoleum.
Ida's warmth and love will be deeply missed but fondly remembered by all who had the privilege to know her.
