Ilene Sierchio

It is with deep sadness we announce the passing of Ilene Ellen Sierchio, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Only 41 days after the passing of her husband, Ilene passed on June 22, 2025 at the age of 84. Together, Ilene & Nick will be remembered and celebrated at a Memorial Mass scheduled for Thursday, June 26, 2025, at 12Noon at St. Thomas More Church.

Ilene was a long-time resident of Fairfield, NJ, where she created a loving haven for her family and friends. She dedicated much of her life to supporting her husband's business, Caldwell Taxidermy, where she handled phone calls, billing, and beyond with steadfast loyalty. A devoted member of Saint Thomas More Church in Fairfield, she taught CCD classes and was known for her deep faith, particularly her affinity for Saint Ann, Blessed Mary, Divine Mercy, and the Rosary. Fondly nicknamed "1-800 Mary," Ilene's heartfelt prayers benefited countless family members and friends, evidenced by her membership in the Miraculous Medal Association, where she consistently prayed for over 125 individuals.

An exceptional cook and baker, Ilene had a special talent for whipping up delicious treats, particularly her famed cheesecake, cream puffs, and rice pudding, which she often shared with doctors and loved ones. She was known for welcoming everyone into her home, creating a warm environment filled with joy during holidays, pool parties, and everyday gatherings filled with food and fun.

Ilene was a thoughtful and selfless individual, never forgetting a name or a date and if you admired anything of hers, she was quick to offer it. Music and dancing filled her life with happiness, a love she sustained from her youth.

Devoted daughter of the late Anthony & Theresa Cuzzi. Beloved wife of the late Nick Sierchio. Loving mother of Kathy Carlson & her husband Gary, Theresa Riverso & her husband Carlo, Nicholas Sierchio, Jr. & his wife Nancy, Anthony Sierchio & Jacqueline, Joanne Haden, and Annie Mastrangelo & her husband Joe. Cherished grandmother of Anthony, Kristina, Tara, Nicole, Tommy, Nicholas, David, Angelica, Brianna, Jenna, and JJ. Adored great-grandmother of Mason, Tristan, Jasmin, Anastasyia, Adelina, Tia and Ben. Dear sister of Anthony & Leonard Cuzzi. Best friend of Kathy Gorman.

Ilene never met a stranger and could easily make connections with new people. She lived a life full of love, kindesss and wisdome, her spirit will continue to live on in the lives she touched.
