Listen to Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Irene Bramble, aged 95, who departed from this world on January 14, 2026. Born on December 10, 1930, in Jersey City, NJ to Anthony and Lottie (nee Dawidowska) Andryszewski, Irene led a vibrant life filled with love, family, and dedication to her work.

We do not always understand the path God chose for us, but we do know of the goodness and kindness he gives us. We know He is always with us; we are never alone. Today we put to rest a woman we know as wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend. She was a support to all of us, paving the way to make it easier for us, her family.

Irene enjoyed her career at Weight Watchers, where she cherished the many years of friendships that were built with her coworkers and the members. Her compassionate spirit and unwavering support for her patrons were hallmarks of her career in the administrative field, and she took great pride in making a difference in people's lives.

Irene is predeceased by her loving husband, Ernest Bramble. She is survived by her beloved daughters, Lorraine and her husband Kenneth Van Dorn, Phyllis and her husband Sam Banoub, and Barbara and her husband David Rodgers, as well as 7 grandchildren and many great grandchildren. She is predeceased by her dear sisters, Stella Szczerba, Helen Katz and Edna Luxton. Her family was her heart, and she nurtured each relationship with kindness and warmth.

We all fondly remember our family gatherings, her many games, the jokes that she would always share, her numerous anecdotes, her words of wisdom to all of us and her never ending faith in Jesus which she helped cultivate in our lives. She takes a part of us with her today, but leaves us with so many beautiful, warm memories and admirable examples of ambition, honesty and sincerity.

A visitation will take place Friday 8:30-10:30 AM at Ippolito-Stellato Funeral Home, 425 Ridge Road, Lyndhurst, followed by a funeral mass at Sacred Heart Church at 11:00 AM. Irene will then be laid to eternal rest, with her beloved husband Ernie, at Holy Cross Cemetery.

We invite all who knew and loved Irene to join us in honoring a remarkable woman who brought joy to so many. Her memory will forever be cherished in the hearts of her family and friends.
