James F. Deluca Sr.

DeLuca Sr., James, 89, of Lyndhurst, NJ on Saturday, April 10, 2010. Beloved husband of the late Elsie (nee Vendola) DeLuca. Loving father of James Jr. & his wife Meryl DeLuca. Cherished grandfather of Michael & Zachary DeLuca. Dear brother of John, Florence, & Judy. Also survived by adoring nieces & nephews. Mr. DeLuca was the Head of the Maintenance for the Lyndhurst Board of Education. He served with the CCC from 1938 -1941 & US Army Air Corp from 1942-1945. He was a member of the Amvets Post #20, Lyndhurst Police Reserves, Mt. Carmel Holy Name Society, Lyndhurst Friendship Club & a member of the Civil Defense. Mr. DeLuca was an avid camper & fisherman. Funeral Wednesday, April 14, 2010 at 8AM from the Ippolito-Stellato Funeral Home, 425 Ridge Road, Lyndhurst, NJ. Funeral Mass 9AM at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel R.C. Church. Entombment Holy Cross Chapel Mausoleum. Friends will be received Tuesday 2-4 & 7-9 PM. The DeLuca Family invites all their family & friends to their home Wednesday from 3-8PM.
