Jeanne Bancroft

November 28, 1955 — April 11, 2020

Jeanne J. Bancroft (nee Den Braber), of Totowa, NJ, peacefully at rest on Saturday April 11, 2020, from COVID-19. Jeanne was 64 years old. Daughter of the late Edward and Margaret Den Braber of Totowa. Jeanne is survived by her adoring husband Craig Bancroft and their children, Carol Voorhis, and Krista Verney and her husband, Pat. Loving grandmother of Patrick and Ryan Verney, all of Totowa. Sister of Glenn Den Braber and his wife Rosemarie, of Las Vegas, NV. Dear aunt to many nieces and nephews.

Jeanne was born in Hackensack, NJ, and was a life-long resident of Totowa, NJ. She was a 1973 graduate of Passaic Valley High School. After high school, Jeanne was employed by Deluxe Check Printers for 28 years, proudly working her way to Business Information Analyst. After her time with Deluxe, Jeanne started Cover Me Quilts, her own incredibly successful long-arm quilting business, feeding her passion for creativity. Jeanne won numerous awards for her work, and was twice-published in nationally recognized industry publications; but Jeannes joy in quilting came, by far, when she created thoughtful, personalized quilts with love for her family, friends, and customers.

After over 10 years of success in her quilting business, Jeanne reinvented herself once again in 2015, as a travel planner specializing in Disney vacations with Mickey World Travel. Jeanne always had a passion for all things Disney, and her role as an agent allowed for her to share that love and excitement with others, meticulously planning magical experiences for adults and children alike.

Jeanne will always be remembered as young at heart, and with a passion for all living things, from her horse Crissy in her younger years, to her present pups, Maxx and Bentley. Jeanne was a devoted music fan, from the Beatles to Billy Joel and Elton John; but Jeannes all-time favorite was Bruce Springsteen, having attended over 50 shows with her husband Craig, and instilling that love for music in her children. Jeanne was an avid New York Mets fan and loved catching live games at Shea ever since she was a young girl. Jeanne had a love for crafts and creativity, and always had a special project (or two) in the works. Jeanne loved to travel with Craig, her family, and her friends, and we all treasure those special memories, especially those she made with her grandsons.

Jeannes purpose, in all facets of life, was best defined as selfless giving. Every project, task, conversation, and decision she made was with the happiness of others in mind, and always made with love. Jeanne cared so deeply for her family and her friends, and we will always remember her infectious energy, warmth, and laughter. Her greatest joy in life was, by far, being a grandmother to her two grandsons, and in spending time with them every day.

The family will receive guests on Saturday, October 24th from 1:00pm-5:00pm at Ippolito- Stellato Funeral Home, 7 Two Bridges Road, Fairfield, NJ. Masks are required and social distancing guidelines will be observed.
