John Joseph Burke

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of John Joseph Burke, a beloved member of our community, who left us peacefully on August 24, 2026, at the age of 74. John was born on June 19, 1952, in Weehawken, New Jersey to Thomas & Dorothy Burke, and spent his later years in Rochelle Park, New Jersey. John served as a Guttenberg Police Officer for a decade, demonstrating his commitment to public service and the safety of those around him. He was a member of the Local 817 as a Theatrical Teamster, where he proudly contributed to the entertainment industry for 24 years as a dedicated driver for Bonded Services in Fort Lee. Throughout his life, John was known for his kind heart and willingness to lend a hand to anyone in need.

He is survived by his cherished nieces and nephews, who will forever remember his warmth and generosity. John will also be lovingly remembered by his lifelong friend, Ramona, who stood by him through many seasons of life. He is predeceased by his siblings, Charles & Kathleen.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the American Stroke Association.
