Born on October 1, 1964, in Belleville, NJ, John's life was a tapestry of joy, laughter, and boundless creativity. He was predeceased by his father, John Joseph Darragh, his mother, Mary Jane Loretta Darragh nee Callahan, and his sister, Jacqueline Darragh. John's early life in Belleville was filled with the love and support of his family. His infectious humor and intelligence were evident from a young age. He pursued his passion for entertainment and laughter by graduating from the prestigious Ringling Bros Barnum and Bailey Clown College in Venice, Florida, in November 1985. This accomplishment set the stage for what would become a fulfilling and vibrant career. For those who had the pleasure of knowing John, it was no surprise that he became a cherished member of the Ringling Bros Barnum and Bailey Circus. His natural talents as a clown, juggler, unicyclist, and comedian brought smiles to countless faces. One of the pinnacles of his career was performing twice in the iconic Madison Square Garden, a dream come true for any entertainer. His dedication to his craft and his ability to connect with audiences of all ages made him a beloved figure both in and out of the ring. Outside of the spotlight, John was a voracious reader, a lover of old movies, and an avid student of history. He enjoyed watching other circus and ice shows, drawing inspiration and delight from the performances of his peers. John's interests were as multifaceted as his personality, and they reflected his deep appreciation for the arts and the rich tapestry of human experience. John's legacy is carried on by his loving sister, Susan Bouliga, his brother-in-law, Daniel Giordano, his niece, Panagia Bouliga, his nephew, Daniel Thomas Bouliga, and his many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends who were touched by his warmth and kindness.
