John De Luca, Jr.

De Luca, Jr., John, 92, of Rutherford and Lyndhurst, New Jersey, passed away on Friday September 27, 2024. Beloved husband of the late Shirley Ann De Luca. Loving father of Phyllis De Luca, Gregory De Luca, and Michelle De Luca. Cherished grandfather of Dean & Dante Geanoules. Dear brother of Florence and predeceased by 4 siblings. John was an antique car enthusiast. He would participate in car shows as often as possible. John started as a machine shop apprentice before working for the Kidde Aerospace Division in Belleville, NJ. He worked for research and engineering where he made parts for lunar modules that went to the moon. John also manufactured projects for NASA, many being top secret. Friends will be received Wednesday 10AM-1PM at the Ippolito-Stellato Funeral Home, Lyndhurst, followed by a funeral service at 1PM and entombment at Holy Cross Chapel Mausoleum.
