Cortese, Joseph P. , 84, of Belleville, NJ on Monday, August 2, 2010. Beloved husband of Sophie (nee Zelinski). Loving father of Peter & his wife Gail, and Joseph Cortese. Cherished grandfather of Christina & Nicole. Mr. Cortese was supervisor of maintenance for J.C. Penney in Wayne for 17 years before retiring in 1990. He was an usher at St. Peter R. C. Church in Belleville, a member of the Monday, Tuesday, Friday and Old Guard Clubs all of Belleville. Funeral Saturday at 10 AM from the Ippolito-Stellato Funeral Home, 425 Ridge Road, Lyndhurst. Funeral Mass 11 AM St. Peter R.C. Church, Belleville. Interment Monday at Mother of Sorrows Cemetery, PA. Friends will be received Friday 2-4 & 7-9 PM.
