Joseph Vendola, 84, of Lyndhurst, NJ on Tuesday, May 18, 2010. Beloved husband of Marie (nee Romano) Vendola. Loving father of Valerie Nichols & her husband Hank, Susan Robe & her husband Michael, Stephen Vendola & his wife Colleen, Mary Ann Vendola Russell & her husband Dennis, Carol De Marco & her husband Louis, and Joseph Vendola & his wife Cindy. Dear brother of Mary De Buys. Cherished grandfather of 10 and great-grandfather of 1. Mr. Vendola was a member of the Lyndhurst Elks 1505, Italian American Club, Circle Club, AmVets #20 and a Charter Member of OLMC Holy Name Society. He was a WWII Army Veteran and Director of Maintenance and Custodians for the Lyndhurst Board of Education for 10 years before retiring in 1995. Funeral Saturday at 8:30 AM from the Ippolito-Stellato Funeral Home, 425 Ridge Road, Lyndhurst. Funeral Mass 9:30 AM Our Lady of Mt. Carmel R.C. Church. Entombment Holy Cross Chapel Mausoleum.
