Joyce Marciniak, born in Newark, NJ, went home to be with the Lord on April 26, 2025, at the age of 95 in Holland Village, her home for the last 14 years. A long-time resident of Lyndhurst, NJ, Joyce was known for her warmth, kindness, sense of humor, and a deep commitment to taking care of others—both through her dedication to her career at Hoffman La Roche and Automatic Data Processing and in her everyday life.
Beloved wife of the late Emil Marciniak. Loving mother of Carol Wozniak and her husband Richard. Cherished grandmother to John and his wife Katie, and Brian and his wife Kristy. Adored great-grandmother of Christopher, Gregory, Michael and Julia. Joyce is also remembered lovingly by her extended family, including Ronald Russell and his wife Marilyn, Joanne MacGillivray and her husband Bruce, Richard Zyla and his wife Susan, and Carol Zyla. She is also survived by her dearest friend George. Dear sister of the late Stanley Zyla and Frances Rosolowski and aunt to many late nieces and nephews.
Joyce was an active member of her community and was involved in many organizations including the Polish American Citizens Club of Lyndhurst, Sunshine Club, Roche Retirees Club in addition to being an active parishioner at St. Michael's Church before moving to Pennsylvania to be near family.
Visitation Friday 11:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m. at the Ippolito-Stellato Funeral Home, 425 Ridge Road, Lyndhurst. Funeral Mass Friday 1:15 p.m. St. Michael the Archangel Church. Entombment Holy Cross Chapel Mausoleum. Family and friends are encouraged to wear pink, her favorite color, in celebration of Joyce’s vibrant life.
In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to TASK (Trenton Area Soup Kitchen), to continue her legacy of taking care of others. Donations can be sent to 7 1/2 Escher Street, PO Box 872, Trenton, NJ 08605.
Joyce's kindness and passion for serving others will be remembered by all who knew her. She leaves behind a legacy of love and compassion.
Her family wishes to extend appreciation to the hospice team at Compassus, especially Janet, Cindy, Emily, and Irina. Also, the many, many people at Holland Village that saw to her care over the last several months, in particular, Sam, Laura, Israel, Penny, Tamara, Elise, Whitney, Yasmine, Tai, Kisha, and Thelma. Also, Irina her nurse practitioner from First Docs who was so compassionate and caring.
