Kelly L. Dacosta

Kelly L. DaCosta (nee Mitchell), 41, of Lyndhurst, New Jersey, passed away on Wednesday, April 12, 2023. Devoted wife of Jason DaCosta. Beloved daughter of Richard & Diane (nee Troncone) Mitchell. Cherished sister of Tracy & her husband Joe Signa. Treasured aunt of Sam, Addison, John III, Isabella, Lorenzo, Juliana, Angelina, Rosalia, and Joey. Loving daughter-in-law of John & Michele DaCosta. Endeared sister-in-law of John DaCosta & his wife Anna Maria, Joseph DaCosta & his wife Francesca, and Josh DaCosta & his wife Caroline. Goddaughter of Valerie & the late Sam Troncone. Dearest niece of the late Anthony Troncone. Adored granddaughter of the late Samuel & Stella Troncone. Faithful friend and cousin to Anthony Troncone, David Troncone & his wife Shaydah, and Lisa Schwartzer & her husband Matt. She is also survived by her many loving cousins, friends and extended family members. Kelly was a graduate of Lyndhurst High School Class of 1999. She went on to earn her Bachelor's Degree in Education from Montclair State University graduating in 2003. Miss Mitchell was a Teacher for the Essex Fells Board of Education spending most of her 18 years educating first graders. Her passion for teaching was a part of her from a young age and was not just a career but a calling for her. Kelly had an infectious personality and a smile that lit up every room she entered. She made friends everywhere she went and those around her were lucky to have known her. Being together with family brought her such joy. Her love of the beach was only surpassed by her passion for music. Watching her sing and dance was something to behold. Funeral Monday 8:30AM from the Ippolito-Stellato Funeral Home, 425 Ridge Road, Lyndhurst. Funeral Mass Monday 10AM Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church. Interment Holy Cross Cemetery.
